Adisadel College commissions new STEM House
One of the finest secondary-cycle educational institutions in Ghana, Adisadel College, has recently commissioned a state-of-the-art STEM house, to further enhance the study of Science and Technology in the school!
Why did Adisadel College embark on this project, and what does it mean for the students? Well…Jamie says!!!
In an address from the project lead, Dr. Paul Mensah, he stated, “Through the introduction of our new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) labs, we aim to ignite innovation, nurture teamwork, and prepare students for the future of work in an increasingly technology-driven world. By blending scientific inquiry with creativity and design thinking, we hope to cultivate a generation of confident, capable learners who will lead solutions in their communities and beyond.” In keeping with the proud traditions of the school, it is indeed worth noting that the STEM House and laboratories were fully funded by the alumni of the school (more commonly known as Santaclausians).
The President of the Global Executive Council of the Adisadel Old Boys Association, Daniel Owiredu, also had this to say, “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are no longer subjects confined to the classroom – they are the engines that drive progress, innovation, and national development. By investing in these laboratories, we are investing in the future of our young people, equipping them with the tools, the curiosity, and the confidence to compete and excel in a rapidly changing world, especially in the 21st century.
These facilities will not only enhance teaching and learning but also inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that Ghana, and indeed Africa, urgently need as we chart our course into the future.“
The new facility, which was commissioned on Saturday, the 11th of October 2025, will officially be known as the Nana Nyampong Santa ’95 STEM House.
