International edition of Fire On The Runway heats up New York in a major way!
The artistic splendour and majestic beauty that we find in our everyday Ghanaian and African-American culture were well represented in the Big Apple, as it played host to a mesmerizing edition of Fire On The Runway (FOTR) International during the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on the 14th of September 2025!
When was the event held? And who do we have to thank for its concept, visualization, and execution? Well… Jamie says!!!
This edition of the event, which is the brainchild of Neka Sawadogo (more on her here), A black American of Ghanian heritage, and a visionary with a proven track record of producing excellent fashion shows both in the diaspora and in the country, saw the Big Apple have its first taste of authentic Ghanaian fashion being showcased on a large scale, with bold statements from designers such as Die Ty (Kendall Ray), Black ‘N’Dope (Shaniece Cochran), K. Made It (Kenya Martin), 037 (Leo), Pieces of Kandakes (RaShawnda Scott) among others seizing the moment and captivating the attention of all those in attendance! No doubt, adding to the incredible legacy that FOTR has garnered after a decade-long journey of grit and endeavour, which is undoubtedly paying off in a big way!
