Ghanaian creative Sister Deborah is back with a bang, following the release of her fresh new single, Derbytopia!

What do we know of the Derbytopia single?

The Ghanaian creative, who is also known as Deborah Vanessa or Sister Derby, released this upbeat Afro-House single (which was solely produced and composed by her) on Sunday the 12th of July, 2026, and on it, she encourages to join her as we go to her happy place (described in the lyrics as a beautiful place with clean rivers and green trees), where we can truly be ourselves (A truly utopic space, get it?). Derbytopia is her second single of the year, following the release of her earlier single, Bolgatanga (on which she featured Lil Win and her brother, Wanlov The Kubolor).

In addition to being an extremely talented multidisciplinary creative, the artist is also known as an outspoken environmentalist and human rights activist, often using her social media presence and influence to fight the use of single-use plastics and to advocate for the equal rights of all members of society, both within and beyond the borders of Ghana!
